Creating and updating snippets

You can add or update snippet details such as its content, conditions, and status on the Snippets page in the app.

Create a new snippet

To create a new snippet:

1. From the Descriptions Studio app, go to Snippets.

2. Click Create snippet.

3. On the snippet details page, enter a Name for your snippet, along with additional details.

4. Click Save.

Edit a snippet

After you've created snippets, you can edit them to change their content, conditions, and any other snippet details.

To edit a snippet:

1. From the Descriptions Studio app, go to Snippets.

2. Click the name of the snippet that you want to change.

3. On the snippet details page, modify the snippet details.

4. Click Save.

Hide a snippet

If you don't want to display a snippet on your online store, but you don’t want to permanently delete the snippet, then you can set the snippet Status to Draft.

To hide a snippet:

1. From the Descriptions Studio app, go to Snippets.

2. Click the name of the snippet that you want to hide.

3. On the snippet details page, in the Status section, select Draft

4. Click Save.

Delete a snippet

When you delete a snippet, it's permanently removed from the app. Deleted snippets can't be restored. If you no longer want to display a snippet for any reason, but don’t want to permanently delete it from the app, then you can hide the snippet instead.

To permanantely delete a snippet:

1. From the Descriptions Studio app, go to Snippets.

2. Click the name of the snippet that you want to delete.

3. On the snippet details page, click Delete.

4. Click Delete.
